Bridging the resource gap
In 2003 the Child Improvement Through Therapy (CITT) Board of Visitors generously donated $15,000 so that they could establish a recycling/loan closet to provide equipment in support of therapy. The types of equipment available are generally not covered by insurance or provided in other funded programs. Through this program, a family is able to borrow the equipment for the necessary length of therapy.
In honor of Sydney Hudson, CITT has renamed their durable medical equipment closet "Sydney's Closet." While Sydney was not a CITT recipient, her uncle Tim was generous and ambitious enough to ride his bicycle cross country several years ago and donate the proceeds to our organization - a now annual event. Sydney was a child full of energy and spirit. She always made those around her laugh and had an amazing sense of humor. Her parents Jeff and Julie Hudson, always made sure she could participate in and enjoy life. From skiing to taking part in the Rock and Roll marathon, she was always there laughing and living life to the fullest. We at the CITT organization are both pleased and honored to announce the addition of "Sydney’s Closet."
